It is officially Friday babes, and GUESS WHAT. I have amazing news coming next week ~ besides the inside scoop on all my favorite items.
Today is the day before the 4th ~ the beginning of a new month. A month that I am so SO excited about. I am officially one month away from (hopefully) going back home to Montana for almost a full month. If things go as planned, my Mom will come visit me in Austin for the first time (yayyy), and we’ll be flying back together.
I’ll be able to see my friends, family, and enjoy the calmness of the country, yet again. It just may be the perfect rebooting getaway.
Even though COVID-19 may make a slight dent in my schedule, I am hoping it wouldn’t entirely impair my trip. We’re officially gearing up for the big three weeks ahead.
Since I haven’t shared my favorite items for a while now, I thought I would share some of my favorite budget-friendly items. These have been on the top of my list throughout this crazy spring + summer.
Fashion
Lately, I have been going on long walks to get out of the house. As Austin has reached above 90, shorts are a must. Yet, I absolutely hate wearing shorts. Can any other girls relate?
I ordered these long + short bikers shorts on Amazon and have been waiting not so patiently for them to arrive. Along with that, I wanted something to hold my phone and keys in while walking around.
After seeing Julia Havens wear a similar fanny pack on her vlog, I had to order this one off Amazon. I am sure I will be wearing this nonstop for the next few months.
Beauty
Even though jewelry isn’t exactly “beauty” items, I thought I would throw them into the mix. This watch is under $20 and looks so good on. Not to mention when they’re paired with these gold earrings.
Paper clip earrings have been a running trend for a while now. I’ve had these for about 3 months and they’re still looking great. I will even shower and sleep in them.
These gold double hoops I like to throw in the mix. I have 3 holes in each of my ears ~ instead of studs, these spice it up a little bit.
My nails have been needing some love, but I haven’t felt comfortable having someone touch my hands just yet. I ordered a full dip powder kit, but it didn’t have a black powder. As per usual, I had to have black ~ so I ordered this one. (Also under $15!)
Home + Lifestyle
Luckily, the office that I work at supports BLM, and in full force. They allowed our team to purchase any book we want to educate ourselves. I chose White Fragility after seeing it on someone’s story + how much they liked it.
Along with that, I have been trying to down a ton of water. Since I take a lot of vitamins, I will drink at least a gallon to a gallon and a half of water every day. I’ve been carrying around this 32 oz Yeti, and drinking it through a softy straw.
I also use these softy straws for my iced coffee in the morning.
I hope everyone is staying safe and fully in your groove whilst spending time at home. For me, I have been loving my routines and having a little extra spare time to focus on my blog + (hehehe) soon to be podcast.
