My fascination with podcasts started about two or three years ago. I didn’t honestly understand what they were or how they could benefit me in the hour or under time frame they would wrap up in. Everyone had their top favorites and would listen to them constantly, but I just didn’t get the hype. This is what ended up kicking off my journey to find the best podcasts of 2019.
One day while sitting in Portland traffic I got tired of listening to the same ol’ music playlist I played over and over ago for the past month and a half. I thought to bring up the Apple Podcast app and see what podcasts were all about.
This is when I found Bulletproof by Dave Asprey — this actually ended up triggering my SIBO and a long journey to recover that you can read here. Once I started listening to all the cool health trends and motivational speaks that were constantly being brought onto numerous podcasts, I just couldn’t stop.
After about another week, I found the Goal Digger by Jenna Kutcher — this one ended up sparking my blogger mindset more than anything. I started reading books around the topic, binge listening to all of her episodes, and sat there taking more than enough notes to ensure I was absorbing every bit of information she was dealing.
I would listen to podcasts all day every day, later having to round up many favorites to keep up with my listening time. This is when I ended up creating an extensive list of all my favorite podcasts based on when I like to listen to them, and why.
Podcasts are an amazing way to find out information and work towards something new every day. Think about it, you most likely won’t be able to talk to everybody on these podcasts in person, but you have all their knowledge and experiences just logging onto your smartphone — absolutely genius.
To Kick Yah Into Gear
Kick-starting my morning or wrapping up my evenings I love to listen to motivational podcasts that are in the industry of my work and business. Podcasts like The Influencer Podcast, Goal Digger, The Skinny Confidential, and She Did It Her Way are just a few of my favorites.
Jumping into your workday enjoying a nice cup of coffee, an informative and motivating podcast really gets my juices flowing. After wrapping up my morning routine, which you can read about here, I will hop in the car and listen to one of these on my way into work just about every day.
